在西藏高原上走過逾萬公里的路，於西陲接近喀什米爾邊境，登上5100米海拔高地，在極其艱苦的條件下，親手建立全球最高天文台之一。作為天文愛好者，能夠在這片極地上建立自己的觀測站，夫復何求? 數年間數十多次入藏，感謝中國科院國家天文台、台灣大學及西藏團隊支持，讓我們圓了多少年的天文夢。在西藏的路途上，我們會繼續攜手，走得更高更遠....方社長
I have traveled over ten thousand kilometers across the Tibetan Plateau, reaching the Kashmir border and ascending to 5,100 meters. Under challenging conditions, I helped establish one of the highest astronomical observatories. As an astronomy enthusiast, setting up my own station here is a dream fulfilled. Over the years, I have made several dozen trips to Tibet, and I am grateful for the support from the National Astronomical Observatory of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, National Taiwan University, and the Tibetan team. Beyond the stars 星空、天文學

夜幕低垂，繁星點點，這片瑰麗且神秘的大自然景象，引發人類無限遐想。近年香港引入天文學為常規教育，已故邵逸夫爵士設立天文學獎，我國在天文學及太空探索方面的快速發展，一再說明到了今天，古老又尖端同時充滿藝術氣息的天文學，仍極有生命力及發展空間。
星河科研社於1996年成立，工作包括活動、器材、技術等服務，對象包括國家科研機構、學界、社區、個人。近年重點推動區內天文建設，包括香港、澳門、中國內地、台灣及東南亞多國數十項天文台及天文館設施。
我們剛渡過了自成立以來最急速發展的一年。是過去多年的工作基礎成就今天的成長，但我們更放眼將來，期望把工作做得更好。 Humankind has long known that nature and us are inseparable. Peasants relied on the sky to set their daily routines, which slowly developed into calendar. From this came all sorts of knowledge; and among them the oldest and the most mysterious of all, astronomy.
There has been a significant growth of interest in astronomy in the last hundred years. The recognition of contributions in the field of astronomy by the Shaw Prize and China’s achievements in space advancement manifest the importance of this knowledge and helps to bring the study of the outer space closer to the community.
All in all, the study of astronomy can equip us with various skills needed in learning, and brings us to better appreciation of art and nature. It is with this that we can be a responsible global citizen. |

Established since 1995, Galaxy Scientific Group has been actively serving the government, institutes and individuals in providing astronomy programs and support, technical consultation and infrastructure building services. With premium expertise and equipment such as Lake Egret Observatory, Star Academy and the first STARLAB planetarium of HK, we aspire to ignite general public’s appreciation towards the unknown world, and in turn to understand life as a whole.

火炭工作室有常駐人員，提供各類天文儀器、技術及活動諮詢等服務。
Star Academy Observatory
圓頂天文台是多少天文愛好者夢寐以求的設施，透過巨型天文望遠鏡觀測宇宙，感性欣賞星空，或進行高技術科研。建於1979年，Star Academy Observatory前身為中文大學第一代天文台，為香港首個圓頂天文台，後曾遷至白鷺湖活動中心，現址為香港青年協會西貢戶外訓練營。香港青年協會賽馬會西貢戶外訓練營位處香港最理想的觀星地區之一，交通十分便利，同時提供460個宿位、餐飲、會議及其他活動配套。星河科研社投入天文台、星象館等設施，除支援各項天文教育工作外，亦會舉行不定期愛好者培訓等。現時接受團體申請舉辦觀星體驗，亦不時會為會友舉活動。
STARLAB 立體星象館
STARLAB 為香港首個流動星象館，適合於嘉年華會、課堂、球場等地點運作，可不受時間天氣限制，投影全天域星空、互動天文教材、跨學科主題、全天域電影、進行各項演示等。STARLAB 自1977年面世至今，每年於全球55個國家接待1,200萬人體驗星空。
西藏觀測站
由中國科學院撥地及星河科研社於2011年自資建立，地處4300海拔，為西藏高原上首個民間天文觀測站，設有0.5米口徑f/3.8大光圈攝星鏡及全自動化系統，可進行各項編程天文觀測，亦招待天文愛好者、教育團體等星空研習旅程。
