与邵逸夫奖及诺贝尔奖天文学家共晋晚餐 Dinner with Shaw Prize and Nobel Prize Laureate

很荣幸我与太太获邀出席 APRIM 2026 最高级别宴会，并与曾先后荣获邵逸夫奖及诺贝尔奖的天文学家 Prof. Brian Schmidt 及邵逸夫奖最资深主管邵咏仪女士同枱。席间邵女士分享了不少邵逸夫奖及相关基金近年在不同慈善领域的工作，作为香港中文大学逸夫书院最早一批毕业生之一，我感受特别深刻。邵逸夫爵士不但透过影视事业把香港文化的影响力推向高峰，多年来在慈善公益方面亦一直贡献深远，这份伟大的精神至今仍不断承传。记得他离世后，不少内地网民透过地图发现原来有那么多「逸夫楼」，这份遍及中华大地的慈善足迹，令很多人深受感动。I was honored that my wife and I were invited to attend the highest-level banquet of APRIM 2026 and to share a table with Prof. Brian Schmidt, laureate of both the Shaw Prize and the Nobel Prize, and Ms Shiu, the Shaw Prize's senior executive. Ms Shiu shared the Shaw Prize and its related foundations' recent charitable work, which was especially meaningful to me as one of the earliest graduates of Shaw College at CUHK. Sir Run Run Shaw not only elevated Hong Kong’s cultural influence through film and television, but also left a profound philanthropic legacy. His great spirit continues to live on, reflected in the many "Shaw Building" across China that moved so many people after his passing.
