早前分享了正在改装32吋望远镜桁架，升级后的结构昨晚正式投入使用，参与一场小学天文学会的观星活动。使用这台香港最大口径望远镜，我们能观察到更丰富的月球表面细节，从没试过花了整整两个小时，就是与参与的同学们兴致勃勃地探索各种月面特征。先以 Ethos 21 目镜 130× 观看整个满月，接着使用 Ethos 8 目镜 350× 看"眼镜蛇"亚里斯塔克斯陨石坑与施罗特谷、"西瓜蒂"第谷坑，以及月球北极区域。看到孩子们脸上洋溢的笑容，实在令人感到无比满足。Shared earlier we I were modifying the truss tubes of my 32" Dob, the upgraded structure was put into operation last night for a primary school astronomy club stargazing event. With this telescope being the largest of Hong Kong, we can observe the Moon in far greater detail. We had never spent a full two hours just enthusiastically exploring various lunar features with the participating students. Starting with the full disk using an Ethos 21 eyepiece at 130×, then moving to the "Cobra Head” (Aristarchus Crater and Schröter’s Valley), Tycho Crater, and the north pole region with an Ethos 8 at 350×. It was incredibly satisfying to see the children's happy faces.
