星河科研社过去20年来建造不少天文设施，所以经常要设计订製望远镜立柱，今日收到的这条比较重量级，用上20mm钢板，真的一吨重的望远镜都能装上去了。这立柱会安装在新的星河科研社新界西天文基地用，顶板已预钻多组螺孔，可以安装多款Paramount赤道仪、ASA DDM 100赤道仪及其他，日后很多测试工作都要靠它了。
