Galaxy Scientific Group undertakes many astronomical projects in the Asia-Pacific region, including many projects near equator regions. Two such Paramount MEII mounts and heavy-duty columns custom made in Hong Kong were just shipped two weeks ago. However, the equatorial regions are the biggest challenge for equatorial mounts, especially for fork mounts. For example, the two Paramount Taurus and the 50 cm Cassegrain telescope shown in the picture, which were supplied to the Indonesian aerospace agency (LAPAN) and installed on Timor Island for satellite observation. They are the ultimate test of mechanical strength. As for appearance, I personally find that the equatorial mounts with latitude settings in Hong Kong look better.
